In a personal workspace, you connect your own accounts and the agent uses them. In a team workspace, the Owner connects apps at the workspace level and everyone can use them automatically, no individual setup needed.
What to share at workspace level
Workspace connections are designed for shared or service accounts, not personal ones. Good candidates are things like a team calendar, a shared HubSpot account, or a dedicated Slack integration. Avoid connecting personal accounts at the workspace level.
To connect an app for your workspace
Go to App Connections → Admin tab (while in your team workspace)
Click the app you want to connect
Complete the OAuth flow
That's it. All members can now use it without connecting their own accounts.
Naming your connections
You can give each workspace app connection a display name. Useful when you have multiple accounts for the same app, for example "Marketing Slack" and "Engineering Slack". The name appears in pickers when the agent resolves which account to use.
What members can see and do
Members can see shared connections in the workspace app list but cannot edit or disconnect them. Only Owners can manage workspace-level connections. Note that members cannot see the details of the connected account, only its display name.
Members connecting their own accounts
By default, members can also connect their own personal accounts for any app. This is separate from the workspace-level connection. Owners can enable or disable authorised apps in App Connections → Admin tab → App 'Member personal connections. More info about app policies.
Important: When you're in a team workspace, the agent uses workspace credentials only. Your personal app connections from your personal workspace are not a fallback.
