What Octonous can do with HubSpot
Once connected, Octonous can work across your HubSpot CRM in both chat and automations. Here is what it can do:
Search contacts, companies, and deals by name, email, or any property
Create and update contacts, companies, and deals
Create and update notes on any CRM record
Create, update, and search tasks
Log calls, emails, and meetings as engagement records
List pipelines and their stages (useful before creating or updating deals)
List owners so you can assign records by name rather than ID
Connecting HubSpot to Octonous
Octonous connects to HubSpot via OAuth. When you connect, HubSpot will ask you to authorize the Octonous app on your portal. You must be a HubSpot Admin to complete this step. If you're a standard user, ask your admin to connect the account.
Get started
In Octonous, go to App Connections in the sidebar.
Find HubSpot and click Connect.
Select your HubSpot account and click on Choose Account.
Review the permissions. Octonous will request the permissions to perform the actions you authorize for contacts, companies, deals, notes, tasks, activity logs, and others. For example, read permissions allow the agent to retrieve CRM information, while write permissions enable it to create or update records on your behalf. All scopes are optional except the base OAuth scope required for authentication. You can choose which optional permissions to grant during installation. If you only want Octonous to read your CRM without writing to it, you can deselect all write scopes.
Click Connect app. You'll be sent to HubSpot's login screen to approve the connection.
Once you approve, you'll receive a Connection Successful confirmation.
You'll then be redirected to the Octonous App Connections page. HubSpot now shows as connected, and you'll be able to manage the integration if needed.
After HubSpot is connected, no additional configuration is required. The integration is immediately available in your Octonous workspace. If you later need to add a new account or additional permissions, you can edit the connection from App Connections without reconnecting the account.
Using Octonous to explore HubSpot
Once you've connected HubSpot, you can use Octonous to explore your CRM, answer questions about your data, and automate repetitive workflows. For example, you can identify deals that need attention, generate customer briefings by combining HubSpot data with information from other connected tools, or create follow-up tasks.
You can also automate actions based on events, such as sending a Slack notification when a deal changes stage, or schedule recurring workflows like daily sales briefings. All from a single prompt.
Disconnect HubSpot from Octonous
Go to App Connections, find HubSpot, and click Disconnect. This removes the connection in Octonous and invalidates the refresh token on HubSpot's side. It does not fully uninstall the app from your HubSpot portal.
Uninstall Octonous from HubSpot
If you want to fully remove Octonous's access, go to Settings > Integrations > Connected apps in your HubSpot account and uninstall Octonous from there.
