Conversation context only lasts within a single conversation. Memory is different. It's a set of stored facts that Octonous can recall in any future conversation.
What gets saved:
Octonous saves things when it thinks they're worth keeping: a preference, a project detail, a recurring contact. It also saves when you ask directly: "Remember that my client Marc always wants a PDF version of reports."
Create memories manually from Memory in the left panel.
How Octonous uses memory:
At the start of each conversation, your saved memories are loaded into context. Octonous uses them to inform responses without you needing to re-explain things every time.
Managing memories:
Go to Memory to see everything saved. Edit any memory or delete ones that are no longer relevant. Octonous can also update or delete memories during a conversation if you ask.
All memories are encrypted at rest. There is a maximum number of memories per account. If you hit the limit, delete some before new ones can be saved.
