Once you've connected at least one tool, you're ready to go. Just open Octonous and type what you need.
There's no special syntax. No commands to learn. Write the way you'd explain something to a colleague.
To help you get started, Octonous suggests a few prompts based on the tools you connected and what you told us during onboarding.
A few things to try:
"Summarize my last 5 unread emails from [client name]"
"Create a Notion task called 'Follow up with Sarah' due next Monday"
"Show me all my tasks for the week attached to open deals in Hubspot"
"Every morning at 9am, send me a Slack summary of what's on my calendar today"
For one-off requests, Octonous does the work and shows you the result. For recurring ones, it builds an automation, shows you what it set up, and asks you to confirm before activating.
Attaching files: Drag and drop a file from your computer, or use the workspace search bar in the chat composer to find files across your connected apps. Select a result to attach it to the conversation. Octonous will read it and use it in its response.
Choosing a model: Octonous uses a default AI model that works well for most tasks. If you have a preference, you can switch to a different model. And if your team already has an API key with a provider, you can bring your own model and use it directly inside Octonous.
Approvals: When Octonous is about to take an action in one of your apps (sending an email, creating a task, posting a message), it shows you an approval card first. You can approve, reject, or edit the action before anything happens. You stay in control at every step.
Conversations are saved: Every conversation is stored in your sidebar. Come back to it, continue it, or rename it. Conversations are encrypted at rest and only visible to you.
