Octonous works by connecting to the tools you already use. Here's how to add your first one.
Go to App Connections
Click the tool you want to connect (Gmail, Notion, Slack, HubSpot, etc.)
A scope selection screen appears. It shows exactly what Octonous will be able to do with that app. Some scopes are required; others are optional.
Review the scopes, deselect any optional ones you don't want to grant, then click Authorize.
You'll be redirected to the provider's login screen. Sign in and approve the connection.
You're redirected back to Octonous. The app now shows as connected.
Need to connect multiple accounts? You can. Click Connect another account on any integration to add a second (or third) account for the same tool. Useful if you manage separate Gmail inboxes or multiple Notion workspaces.
What if I don't see my app? Check the full integrations list. If it's not there yet, you can request it directly from that page. We prioritize based on what users actually need.
A note on permissions: You choose exactly what Octonous can access when you connect each tool. We request a set of options and you decide what to grant. We never store your emails, documents, or messages.
Disconnecting an app
Go to App Connections, find the app, and click Disconnect. This removes the connection locally. For most Google apps and GitHub, the authorization is also revoked on the provider's side automatically. For others (Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Microsoft apps, and a few more), you'll need to revoke access from within that provider's settings too. The disconnect screen will tell you which applies.
